Learn about the enlistment, training and camp life of the soldiers in 1863.

Don’t forget your work clothes, hammer, shovels and pioneer sprit as we work together to get the Village ready for another year.

A work day on all of the cabins and buildings doing structure renovation.   We are hoping to assign work groups to each building to do whatever needs to be done to that cabin – painting, chinking, replace flooring and or logs, roofing etc 

Come visit a market from the past.  There will be plenty of food, drink and merriment for you to enjoy as you browse through the many wares of all the craftsmen that set up shop for the weekend.

Enjoy sounds of the past: hammered dulcimers, banjos, and guitars while touring a Village brought to life by historical reenactors.  Visit 2 music stages and many porches.  Hours:  Fri: 5 PM-10 PM; Sat: 10 AM-10 PM; Sun: 10 AM-4 PM.

Enjoy your favorite Gospel Music by several local musicians.  Sat 10-6, Sun 10-4

Learn about the life of a soldier in 1863.  Groups of re-enacting soldiers representing infantry, artillery and cavalry units from Ohio

and other states will be camped in the Village.  See the units square off on the battle field each afternoon.

Come celebrate a harvest  as it was in 1800.The village  will be preparing for winter with making apple butter, hominy, candles and more. A harvest to remember!   Enjoy some cider, while viewing days from the past.

Bring the children for a fun time!  There will be plenty of goodies, hayrides and other activites for all to enjoy. This is a special event for the children and free admission. Hours 3 – 6 pm.  Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider and other goodies will be sold in the Bull Skin Inn.

Christmas in the 18th century was quite different from today’s celebration.  Come see how we celebrate at the village. Tour the Village by candlelight and enjoy the hearth heated cider and hot chocolate. Dress warm!

Pioneer Church is held every Sunday at 10:30 AM.  Keith Buttree conducts the service.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Come and enjoy a church serivce where they get back to the basics.  Gospel Bluegrass music is provided by Keith Buttree and Berachah Valley.
