Caesar's Creek Pioneer Village

Welcome to the Website for the Pioneer Village. Our website is still going through a few growing pains so it is possible you will find some sections a little short on information. Rest assured though we are working hard to get every section updated and get as much information as you could possibly want on the website. We are going to be putting a lot of information about the History of the Village and you will be able to see how we have grown over the years also. If you have comments, questions or kudos, feel free to drop us a line.

Upcoming Events:

2017 Schedule is now on the Events Page. If you have an idea for an event that you think would be great for the Village feel free to email us. Also we are a fantastic venue for Weddings and Family Gatherings and the Village is available to be rented. Drop us an email and we will be glad to work with you on planning your event.

Civil War Training Camp

April 29th, 2017 - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
April 30th, 2017 - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Learn about life of a Union Soldier during the Civil War as you take part in the training.

You will be able to witness what life was like for Soldiers during the Civll War while they were in training camp getting ready to go to battle. Walk through the camp and see how they lived and they trained including firing demonstrations. These camps were not easy living for the soldiers and many of them perished here before even reaching a battle field.

This is an event that will appeal to both the young and the old as you will be able to see history actually come to life. Most Civil War events concentrate on just the battles but we strive to bring the history alive. You will be able to witness what their every day life was like in the training camp during the civil war along with living history displays and demonstrations and watch as they carry out their company level and above drills.

The kids will be fascinated to see the soldiers in period dress along with the weapons of the time and it will give them a chance ot be up close and personal with people who have a passion for the civil war and can bring the history that they read in their books to life. Everyone will be fascinated by seeing what life was truly like in those days.

$5 per person

Vintage Baseball

May 6th, 2017 - 12:00 pm (noon) to 6:00 pm

Come out and watch Baseball as it was originally played as we have 4 teams from the Vintage Base Ball Association meeting at the Pioneer Village for 4 games over the course of the day.

These teams play by the original rules of baseball (1860/1864) along with vintage uniforms and equipment. It is truly amazing to watch them play the game the way that it was originally intended to be played. The kids will be amazed as they can be up close to the players and see how the game they know so well started off.

The match ups will be
12 pm - Losantiville Black Stockings & Ohio Village Muffins
1:30 pm - Ohio Village Muffins & Bluegrass Barons
3:00 pm - Eastwood Iron Horses & Losantiville Black Stockings
4:40 pm - Bluegrass Barons & Eastwood Iron Horses .

Cost: $5 per person 16 and older. This is admission for as many of the games as you want to see.

Pioneer Village Yard Sale

May 12th (Pre-Sale) 4:00 to 7:00 pm & May 13th 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Our Yard Sale is back once again. There will be a Preview or Pre-Sale night on Friday and then the regular sale will be conducted on Saturday.

The Yard Sale is going to be items donated by the Village members and also anyone from the General Public who would like to donate items to us so we can sell them in the Yard Sale.

If you do have items which you would like to donate to the Village, please contact us through either our email address or through Facebook by leaving a comment on the event or through messenger.

If you are within the Beavercreek/Bellbrook/ Xenia area we can arrange for your items to be picked up or you can also drop them off at the Village. We just ask that all donations be at the Village by Thursday 05/11 as we will still need to organize the items and price them all.

All proceeds from the sale are going to go back to the Village to help with our maintenance/upkeep/ restoration costs.

For those interested in what items will be at the yard sale, we are planning on providing a list of some of the items along with as many pictures as we can on the Website during the week leading up to the sale. Keep an eye here for more information.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.

Public Paranormal Investigation at the Village (currently fully booked, waitlist available)

May 12th/13th, 2017 - 9:00 pm to 1:00 am

Over the years the Pioneer Village has had plenty of its own "Ghost Stories" and over the past year we have been working with our spirits around the Village to find out a bit more about them. They have always let us know that they existed and this year has allowed us to explore a bit more into that part of the Village which is always there but not always seen.

This night will be an opportunity for the General Public to come to the Village for a truly rare occasion where we will be investigating a few of the different buildings around the Village and seeing what the spirits want to tell us. The public is not typically allowed in the Village at night and very rarely allowed in the buildings at night so this will be an opportunity to do something which very few people have had the priviledge to do.

Due to this being an event at night and the liability of moving around the Village at night, we have to restrict this to an 18 and older event.

At the current time, we have filed our event but we are currently taking people who want to be on the waitlist. Just contact us through Facebook and we will be glad to add you to our waitlist in case others drop out or do not pay for the event in advance and are taken off the list.

The rules can be viewed through the following link: rules or downloaded in a Word document: Pioneer Village Paranormal Rules

* Metal Detecting at the Village *

As there have been an influx of inquiries about metal detecting at the village, we decided to post a message here about it. As the Pioneer Village is located on State land (we rent the land from the state), we abide by their rules which state that the only place any metal detecting can take place is on the sandy portion of the beach at the Public Beach Area. All other metal detecting is a prohibited activity.
